Our Boat is Your Boat
It’s true: no one should own a boat, but it is wonderful to have a friend with a boat. Enter Big Ridge. Our boat is your boat (for Medium and Large members), and none of its problems are yours. The keys are there when you want them, the gas tank is full, the maintenance gets handled, and when the day is over, you hand it back sun-kissed and happy, not elbow-deep in engine trouble.
The 2012 Moomba 2.0 is Big Ridge’s decidedly unwise-but-wonderful sport boat. Available to Medium and Large members during the in-season months (May through September), the boat is set up primarily for wave surfing, cruising, swimming, floating, and spending time with your beloveds on the water.
Because every boat has its own little personality quirks, new members will need to do a quick orientation with him before taking it out for the first time. Nothing complicated, just enough to make sure everyone understands the boat, the marina setup, and how not to accidentally invent new problems for all of us.
Using the boat is simple. Members just call Signal Ridge Marina 828-743-2143 when you’d like to take it out, and they’ll help coordinate everything from there. We handle the maintenance, fuel, upkeep, trailering headaches, surprise expenses, and all the other parts of boat ownership that make otherwise reasonable people question their boat-owning decisions. Busy weekends can fill up quickly at the marina— especially around holidays — so if you’re hoping for a boating lake day, it’s best to schedule the boat a day or two in advance.
Smooth waters!
