If you’re a beer person

You’re in luck — there are a couple of good breweries nearby! Head just about 7 miles down NC-107 and you’ll find the closest option, Whiteside Brewing Company in Cashiers. Head the other direction on 107 and you’ll hit Balsam Falls Brewing and Innovation Brewing, both in Sylva. The Sylva options are a little bit further out, but a nice option for the hopheads among us.

For something brewery-ish, but closer, just around the corner in our neck of the woods, check out Happ’s Place. It’s got a brewery-like space and brewery feel, minus the actual beer brewing. We wrote about Happ’s and other local favorite restaurants here.
