Building, Growing, and Buzzing

Lots is underway in the northwest corner of the property these days. The barn is continuing to come along nicely, the seeds are planted and garden is growing, and the honeybees are buzzing happily.

We’ve got some final touches and polishing to do in the barn ahead of our first barn reservations in July. The paint is done (you can see some of that below). This week, we’ll be finishing tile and the floors. Then, in June, we’ll secure our certificate of occupancy, and we’ll start and finish furnishing the whole shebang.

The bees may be having the happiest season of any of us. While you’re here, wander on up to the garden and greenhouse area and say hello to our two hives of honeybees. We started with 10,000 in each hive, and now we’ve got something like 60,000 total. Look at them go!
